This is my final year graduation project collection entitled “Wynoriffic Siphonophore”, a Spring-Summer 2023 Ready-to-Wear womenswear collection inspired by the sea creature known as the Portuguese Man O’ War or Physalia physalis that captivates their ethereal beauty. The Portuguese Man O’ War is a siphonophore, an animal made up of a colony of organisms working together. It is famous for its interesting shape creature that is floating on the sea surface with colorful appearance that attracts its prey. Despite its beauty, this creature is called the monster of the sea, it is because of its venomous tentacles that could be dangerous for those who touch them. The bizarre appearance and characteristics of the Portuguese Man O’ war are drawn out and applied to this collection. This collection focuses on the creature’s structure as a siphonophore.
